How much does Photoshop cost?
Photoshop is not sold as a one-time purchase. It comes through subscriptions, and the right plan depends on what else you need.
Short answer
Photoshop is subscription-only. Adobe sells it as a single-app plan, inside the Photography plan together with Lightroom, and inside the full Creative Cloud bundle. Prices vary by country and change over time, so the only reliable figure is the one on Adobe's own pricing page when you check.
The plan types, explained
Photoshop single app. Photoshop on desktop, web and mobile, plus cloud storage. This is the direct choice when Photoshop is the only Adobe application you use.
Photography plan. Photoshop bundled with Lightroom and cloud storage, aimed at photographers. Historically this has been the cheapest way to get the full desktop Photoshop, which is why photographers rarely buy the single-app plan.
Creative Cloud All Apps. Every Adobe application — Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects and the rest. It only makes sense when you genuinely use several of them.
Student and teacher discount. Adobe offers a reduced rate on Creative Cloud for enrolled students and teachers, verified through a school email or documentation. The discount applies to the All Apps plan rather than Photoshop alone.

Annual vs monthly billing

If a subscription does not fit
