How long is the Photoshop free trial?

The Photoshop free trial lasts seven days. During those seven days you get the full desktop application with no features locked. Adobe asks for payment details up front and converts the trial into a paid subscription when it ends, unless you cancel first.
What the seven days include
The trial is not a reduced demo. You install the same Photoshop build that paying subscribers run, on Windows or macOS, with the full toolset: layers, selections, retouching, filters, RAW development through Camera Raw, and cloud documents.
Seven days is enough to answer the questions that actually matter before subscribing: does it run well on your machine, does it open your existing files, and does the workflow suit what you do.
How the trial starts
You start the trial on Adobe's site, sign in with an Adobe account (creating one is free) and install through the Creative Cloud desktop app. Adobe requires a payment method at the start — this is the part that surprises people, because it means the trial converts automatically.

What happens when the trial ends
If you do nothing, the plan you selected at sign-up becomes a paid subscription on day eight and the payment method on file is charged. If you cancel before that, the app stops opening after the trial expires but nothing is charged.
Files you saved locally — PSD, TIFF, JPEG and so on — remain on your machine and open in other editors. Cloud documents stay tied to your Adobe account.
How to cancel in time
Cancel from your Adobe account page, under the plan management section — not by deleting the app. Uninstalling Photoshop does not cancel the subscription. Set a reminder for day five or six so the decision is deliberate rather than accidental.
